Keri Reed is a Certified Family Nurse practitioner with a passion for educating her patients so they feel empowered and educated about their health. “I want patients to feel at ease, assured they are with a knowledgeable and competent provider who cares about them holistically and will guide their care with great compassion and skill.”

She went on to add, “I want their medical visit to provide them with the resources they need as well as a clear and concise plan that has been developed with their input, to help them move forward with great dignity and improved outcomes.”

Reed has 23 years of nursing experience with 20 years in emergency medicine, which has allowed her to work with patients and families of diverse backgrounds, ages and medical conditions. She is known for being a great listener and patient advocate. “My focus is on building an ongoing rapport with patients by listening well to their healthcare concerns and partnering with them in managing their care.”

After earning her bachelor’s in nursing in 1999 from Jacksonville University in Florida, Reed went on to obtain her master’s in nursing last year from Cedarville University in Ohio. Most recently, she worked in a local neurology practice and has a special interest in the treatment of ADHD in children.

Reed said she joined CalvertHealth Primary Care because of their commitment to providing quality health care. “I believe that when you surround yourself with other people who are dedicated to high goals and standards, you become more like them and it is easier to strive for excellence.”

She lives in Leonardtown with her husband, who is a Captain in the US Navy, and their four children, ages 11-18. A fan of outdoor sports, Reed enjoys running, hiking, cycling and skiing or watching her kids play soccer. In her quiet time, she likes to watch sci-fi and adventure movies and read good books.
